Cannabis City opened on July 8 and have since remained the only legal pot shop in Seattle. Seattlites have watched marijuana retailers pop up in other cities but have waited (impatiently) to see that number rise back here. It looks like it's finally going to happen as Uncle Ike's Pot Shop has received a temporary license and plans to open at at 23rd and Union within the next few days, per CHS. Though it might take a while to get settled with product and hours of operation, they expect to be open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. eventually. Incidentally, Central District pot retailer Mello Times, which was among the state lottery winners for initial marijuana shops, is still TBD in terms of their grand opening. Regardless, looks like it's time to update the licensed Washington pot shop map.
