The Today Show Drinks in Seattle; Stolen Stuff at Canlis

This week's top hits from Eater Seattle, Curbed's sibling bar, restaurant and nightlife blog...

FOOD TV—That squealing and wine cork-popping sound you've been hearing from Pike Place Market of late? It's Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb filming segments for the Today show. The ladies sampled Po Dog wieners, cocktails by uber barman Murray Stenson (now plying his trade at Canon), and some Washington wine and beer. And, of course, the show did a segment on the Victoria Liss receipt dustup.

ON THE MAP—Seattle's in the midst of Restaurant Week, which is great for some patrons but kind of a pain in the ass for others. Eater columnist Surly Gourmand mapped his favorite spots for avoiding the crowds. Speaking of maps, we've also got one of new spots to hit up for cocktails.

STOLEN STUFF—In perhaps the most epic installment yet of our Shit People Steal feature, Eater talks to Mark and Brian Canlis about 60 years worth of thievery that has gone down at the family's iconic restaurant. Brace yourselves.
