Welcome to Renters Week 2011

We feature a lot of listings specifically for buyers here at Curbed Seattle, and that's all well and good, but there's another demographic of city dwellers in need of advice about their living situation: renters. That's why this week we're celebrating the trials, tribulations, and triumphs of paying rent on a monthly basis here in Seattle. Friends, countrymen, welcome to Renters Week 2011.

Across the Curbed Network this week, we'll be discussing the best places to find vacation rentals, the most ridiculous in Craigslist postings, obscenely expensive rental properties, disgusting requirements of bizarre roommates, and our favorite places to land a totally sweet apartment or house without having to take out a mortgage. As if that wasn't enough, we're also really into the idea of paying your rent next month. Yeah, you heard us. Send in your rental horror stories to seattle@curbed.com. We'll vote on the best ones on Thursday before sending our city's champion to the national round. To the winner go the spoils: we'll pick up their rental tab for the next month for up to $2,500. Interested? Duh, of course you are. Send us your story for a shot at the title.
