OneBusAway Extinction?

Seattle's featured pretty infrequently on the handy apps like HopStop with which other cities seem to be enthralled, but OneBusAway is totally a hit in these parts. The transit app, which tells riders when the next bus will hit their station (and is super convenient when the rain just won't stop and you're waiting on 2nd Ave. for what seems like six years), was developed by a UW grad student who donned a cap and gown this year and walked straight into an offer from Google to develop transit code for their European offices. Who will take over our beloved bus savior? Only time will tell. [Seattlest]
