Seattle-native Erin, who goes by Mrs. E. on her design blog apartment 34, isn't particularly pleased with the NYT's profile of the women behind the recent outburst of online shelter mags. Though the subject matter is all well and good, she (politely and tactfully) pretty much laid into writer Steven Kurutz for describing nearly all of the founding editors of sites like Rue and Lonny as high-strung and Type-A. And pretty. Looks like her commenters kind of agree that patronizing profiles ain't the way to go. [apartment 34]
