The stats have been added up, divided, multiplied, categorized and ranked, and Seattle comes in at number seven on the list of the nation's top real estate markets. (Before you get too excited, remember that we were number six last year.) The ranking comes from the Urban Land Institute.
By sector, Seattle had the fourth-best retail, industrial and office markets; its hotel market ranked eighth.
Overall, San Francisco and New York were ranked First and Second, followed by San Jose, Calif.; Austin, Texas; Houston and Boston. After Seattle came Washington, D.C.; Dallas/Fort Worth; and Orange County, Calif.
