Some 6,000 Seattle folks are buying online from Room & Board, a furniture manufacturer based in Minneapolis. Now they're opening their first Seattle store in University Village on Monday, October 22nd.
The location is "upstairs" where Barnes & Noble used to be. There's a new escalator at the corner entrance to the second-floor showroom. Upstairs, shoppers will find a staff of three dozen design associates and employees, and a line of furniture and accessories that are described as "affordable." Most of the products are made in the US.
In addition to the University Village showroom, Room & Board has a distribution center in Kent.
