Impending Apt Building Sale To Shatter 2012 Price Ceiling

The mixed-use apartment complex Circa Green Lake recently sold to TIAA-CREF for $83.2 million, the most paid for an apartment building within Seattle this year. Don't get cocky, though, Circa Green Lake, because that status isn't going to stand long if a pending deal happens before 2013.

According to Puget Sound Biz Journal, Aspira, a 37-story apartment tower located at 1823 Terry Ave. is expected to close within the next few weeks and could fetch, according to one real estate broker, in the region of $160 million. The tower is mostly apartments but also includes a salon and restaurant on the ground floor.
