It's only a few days before the election. Besides good schools, or amenities or access to transportation, it may be important to some to live near politically like-minded neighbors. Today, we'll go to a red area and a blue area of King County.
Republican-leaning? This $395,000 home in Auburn, with four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms might be you place. No legislative district in King County went to McCain. But the 11th district, around Auburn, came the closest. Obama won there by only 52 percent-to-46 percent margin. At 2,700 square feet, the home in the Jornada community, is pretty spacious and has a lot of natural light. The recently remodeled interior features a fully updated kitchen, five piece master baths. The formal living and dining areas have vaulted ceilings. And you have a view of the mountains.
No? You want to be around Democrats. Seattle's 43rd district, which includes Capitol Hill, is your place. About nine out of every ten voters supported Obama last time. At $489,000 it has a private courtyard entrance, 2.5 baths, a gourmet kitchen w/ stainless appliances, huge windows and community roof top deck with fabulous city views and barbecues.
