If you live near the future home of the Sound Transit Roosevelt Station just west of 12th Avenue Northeast, I hope you own some sturdy earplugs. The Seattle Department of Planning and Development just approved a noise variance that will allow for more noise later into the evening as crews continue to bore the tunnel. Construction is expected to continue for another 45 months with completion scheduled for August 2017 and the station's opening set way out in 2021. [KOMO]
