If you thought Amazon.com was only taking over South Lake Union, think again. PSBJ reports that the city of Seattle's Department of Planning and Development has conditionally approved Amazon.com's proposal for a 3.3-million square-foot office project downtown. The 37-story office tower would be constructed on Seventh Avenue between Virginia and Blanchard streets and also includes a second high-rise and a smaller building, both of which would include street-level retail. Now all Amazon has to do is actually close the sale of the land from Clise Properties. [PSBJ]
