Mars Hill On The Move In Belltown, Tacoma

New, 1 comment

Just because weed and same-sex marriage are legal, that doesn't mean that Seattlites have stopped going to church. Mars Hill Church is one of the fasting-growing ministries in the Pacific Northwest, with churches and campuses all over Washington and beyond. Two recent real estate transactions are proof of just how much they're growing.

The church's Belltown location has been on the market for some time now as the congregation relocates to the former First United Methodist Church at Fifth Avenue and Marion Street. Their current spot finally sold for $4.1 million, according to property records. The buyer was PTI Western 2012 LLC.

Meanwhile, Mars Hill is expanding to Tacoma as well with the sale of the historic First Congregational Church there to become their new post. The building sold for $1.9 million and the church is raising $1.5 million to renovate the building. It's their fifteenth location nationwide.
