There's a social contract in play when hosting an open house. You open your doors to complete strangers who earn the right to look at all your stuff so long as they don't leave with any of it. Unfortunately that wasn't the case when thieves visited an open house on the 2400 block of 60th Ave. SE at some point between Nov. 25 and Nov. 29 and made off with $25,000 worth of jewelry. Unfortunately, the police have no suspects. Double unfortunate, the thieves didn't even put in a bid. [Mercer Island Patch]
