Plans are moving ahead for The Spring District, a 36-acre mixed-use development on the east side of Interstate 405 in Bellevue. It's conceived as a catch-all space that includes office space, retail, residential and a light rail stop (by 2023) across 16 blocks. The process begins with the demolition of a southside warehouse that will eventually be replaced with 300 residential units. Developer Wright Runstad hopes to open the office buildings on the property by early 2015. [PSBJ]
