Olympic Park Lookback

It's easy for us hardened Seattlites to take Olympic Sculpture Park for granted, especially when we see all those tourists queue through it on the weekend. I Love Architecture recently took a look back at the park's Unocal oil transfer facility roots and how the uninterrupted Z-shaped "green" platform came to be. It includes plenty of great photos and, even better, some of Weiss Manfredi's original sketches of how he envisioned the park. Those gorgeous sketches seem to have come to life almost exactly.
