What $3,000/Month Can Rent You Around Seattle

Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent for a set dollar amount in various Seattle neighborhoods. Is one man's studio another man's townhouse? Let's find out! Today's price: $3,000/month.

? Let's kick things off in Greenlake where this fully-furnished 3-BR could be yours for $3K/month. It comes stocked full of books, little vases, a kitchen blackboard(?) and some dubiously-green dining room chairs. Hey, you're two blocks off of the lake, don't nitpick.

? Looking for something a bit more high-class for your money? Try this 3-BR in the Olympus building. Forgot two blocks off a lake, here you're two blocks off Puget Sound and you've got the views to see it.

? Clearly, if you're going to spend $3K in rent per month, a water view seems to go hand in hand. This 3.5-BR overlooks Lake Washington and is referred to as an "outdoor enthusiast paradise," assuming your enthusiasm is capped at jogging and biking.

? "What about me, the $3K/month renter who hates water views?" You're covered with this 6-BR University District dwelling. Don't judge this book by its basement. Instead, look at all that light! That wonderful, wonderful light.

So, if you had $3,000/month to burn, which house would you spend your days taking in your water view (or lack thereof)?
