The Snoqualmie tribe has released plans to expand the Snoqualmie Casino with a 340-room hotel, conference center, expanded casino floor, larger theater, and new parking structures. However, they're running into resistance from some within their own tribe. The 20-story tower would be one of the largest building in the region outside of Seattle and Bellevue and the idea of a giant, lit-up structure in the middle of the open valley has many wondering if it's all a bit too much. Then again, what's the point of having a casino if you're not going to do a bit too much? The tribe will meet again in February to discuss the plans. [Seattle Times]
