Luxury Camping in Mercer Island

New, 1 comment

In the sweet words of Kanye: "damn, they don't make 'em like this anymore..." At least not in our neck of the woods. This Mercer Island home gives off a planetarium - greenhouse - spacious bungalow vibe. But you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who would say that living in this outdoor-themed pad constitutes as "roughing" it. A 4-bed, 4-bath on a 10,125 sq. ft. lot, this house comes with vaulted ceilings, a gourmet kitchen, three fireplaces, a walk-in closet, jetted tub, a wall-mounted plasma TV, and (feet rejoice!) heated tile floors in the bedrooms. But that's just the house. The backyard looks and feels quintessentially Scottsdale-esque, what with the perfectly landscaped low-lying shrubbery, covered patios, stone walkways, built-in outdoor speakers, and hot tub -- not to mention the swanky little guest studio complete with French doors opening up to a private back yard. Price tag: $1.2 million. Hey, it's expensive to maintain the illusion of living outdoors while comfortably sitting inside!
