All this unseasonably cold and snowy weather that we've been getting in Western Washington -- could it be due in part that we've jinxed ourselves by saying goodbye to the sun bears? Okay, so our meteorological knowledge is paltry at best and our weather predictions are more based on radical superstition, but it doesn't make it any less true: the Woodland Park Zoo is shipping sun bear couple Palu and Suntil to a zoo in Virginia, a glorious land of "warm weather and high humidity." We bid you find bear(er)s of sun a fond farewell and hope that you'll try to remember to send us, your kindred sun-lovers some good weather vibes while you're out there. [WPZ]
