Sex Offender Registry

If you're a first-time buyer with kids, there's a ton to consider. School district, lot size, neighborhood, proximity to grocery stores, parks, and the like are (and should be) details that factor into your consideration. But it may also be important to you to check if there is a sex offender living next door, around the corner, or a few blocks down. The Seattle Police Department has a up-to-date feature on their website that allows you to search by location to see if there are any sex offenders who have moved into the area. If you want more details, other websites offer more specific information on the nature of the crime (i.e. whether it was rape, sexual battery, offense against children, etc.).
