We like our eggs as much as the next guy, but Kirkland, that pioneering city is taking it to the next step, laying the groundwork for some poultry-ownership regulations. And they've put some serious thought into it and it especially sounds like a plush deal for chickens. The proposed bottom line is this: if your neighbor lives on a lot of exceeding 5,000 sq. ft., you could be living next door to 20 chickens. Cross your fingers for gifts of fresh eggs? [KV]
