Fickle Four Eyes: Rivet & Sway, a new eye wear startup out of Seatown is fixing to launch any day now. The concept is simple and a life-saver for those of us who appreciate options, have trouble making decisions and like to live with our choices for a few days before committing. Peruse dozens of stylish frames online, select three to have shipped to you - sans prescription - live with them for three days, then ship them back free of charge with no obligation to buy. You will fall in love with one (or more) pair, of course and after sending in your Rx, will live happily ever after looking as cool as Lisa Loeb does in hers. All frames are $199, nicely made and come with sweet upgrades like a scratch-resistant UV coating.
Goodwill - La Boutique: The new South Lake Union Goodwill is opening today, Thursday, July 26 to much fanfare. Almost every style blogger worth her salt has posted about it, many of which will have been in line at 10 a.m. when the store opened, we reckon. The draw of this store, the twenty-second in the northern Puget Sound alone, is a smaller footprint, a boutique feel and an emphasis on cute clothing for the fashion- and budget-conscious shopper. Swing by today for the opening celebration featuring prizes, giveaways and music. Store location is 411 Westlake Avenue N.
Sales:
The Finerie: Through August 11, save up to 85 percent at this downtown boutique, stocked with Abi Ferrin, Hugo Boss, Moods of Norway, Pour la Victoire, Portland’s Yed Omi jewelry and many, many others.
A Mano: All spring and summer styles are now 50 percent off at A Mano – many of which will help you transition gracefully into fall and still look stylish next year.
Totokaelo: All sale items go to 65 percent off this Friday. What’s left will fly out the door on the back of some lucky lady. Be her.
Events:
Pacific Galleries Saturday Marché: Don your comfortable shoes, grab a latte for strength and get ready to shop for some flea market finds. Pacific Galleries, in Sodo, is the mother of all antique malls in town, and this Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. it’s hosting a huge outdoor French-style market, replete with unique antiques and vintage items. If flea markets aren’t your thing, Pacific Galleries is open seven days a week and hosts the most amazing auctions. Check their Facebook page for pics and deets.

Formulary 55: Sweet Petula’s Cordelia Smith just can’t stop herself from opening brick and mortar shops and we’re so happy about it. This purveyor of decadence in the form of bath and body care is opening a new shop on NE 55th called Formulary 55 in the Ravenna/Bryant neighborhood on August 31, with an opening event that night from 5 to 8 p.m. and the next day (September 1) from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The first 25 customers each day will receive a goody bag stuffed full of awesomeness. Formulary 55 will be Smith’s manufacturing spot and open to the public on the weekends from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at this point. Expect stock to include Smith’s own incredibly popular lines (Sweet Petula, Good Clean Dog, Mr. Mustachio and Formulary 55) as well as Olo perfumes from Portland, DS & Durga, Patch NYC and Royal Apothic.
