Ralph Andersen Does Washington Park

The man who brought you the famed Alki Beach Residence, one of Seattle Met's "10 Greatest Homes" of 2012 has yet another doozie still on the market. This time, the late Ralph Andersen set up shop in Washington Park to design this 3-bed, 4.25-bath contemporary. Here, he meticulously included features like six sets of French doors in the living room area opening out onto front and backyard terraces, a schmancy temperature-controlled wine cellar, a library with built-in shelves, skylights, fireplaces, vaulted ceilings -- basically, the works. And the price has recently been reduced on this architectural beaut, chopped from $1.795 million to $1.65 million.
