We can't fault architects for emulating designs that have proven popular and successful on the market. That has certainly been the case for moderns built in 2012. (And with good reason: Seattleites are going gaga for these modern designs, as in the past three months, houses sporting this exterior aesthetic have sold more successfully than their more "traditional" counterparts.)
But when we found identical single family homes -- we're talking almost carbon copies of each other -- we were left wondering if architects had grown weary of designing new homes or if Redfin was trying to pull a fast one on us (again). With the exception of the square footage, these 3-bed, 2.5-bath homes in both Shoreline and Greenwood sport the exact same architecture, interior floor plan, listings photos. The thought process must be that this house will be in such high demand that constructing two of the same was a necessity...
