Seattle is helping to perpetuate the green, tree-hugging/-loving image of its residents by handing out free trees! The City of Seattle launched the "2012 Trees for Neighborhoods," offering Seattle residents up to four trees to plant anywhere on their property. Get in line to snag a deciduous pear tree, a Crabapple tree, or if you really want to get crazy, a Weeping Alaska Cedar. Then, once said trees are a little older, you'll have a small arboretum to run around singing some tree-themed Whitesnake tunes. Everyone's dream... [MB]
