The 34th District (representing West Seattle, Burien, Vashon and Maury Island) have officially gone on record opposing the construction of a new stadium in SODO. They weren't so much anti- "bringing the Sonics back" as they were against the unexplored possibilities of environmental impacts, inevitable transportation issues, and to prove that they weren't the "excuse-finding types" that the pro-stadium supporters had dubbed them.
