Naming Nightmares

Jumping on the naming success of the "Mercer Mess," some Seattleites are trying to come up with new names for new construction nightmares to make them more catchy to the public. But to the folks trying to coin alliterative phrases like "Dexter Disaster" and "Westlake Wrangle," we are forced to quote Mean Girls' Regina George: "Stop trying to make 'fetch' happen! It's not going to happen!" Seattle should be only afforded one mediocre alliterative name a year, and when they sound like bad antagonists on low-budget Saturday morning cartoons, they're even less welcome. [MyNorthwest]
