Fifteen Twenty-One Second Avenue Is Almost Full

The 40-story tower Fifteen Twenty-One Second Avenue located at, uh, 1521 2nd Ave., contains 143 individual condos. As of this moment, 139 of them have been sold. On paper, that deserves a golf clap. However, wait until we explain how that means the tower has generated a quarter-billion in sales and means 122 of the 222 condominiums sold for more than $1 million in downtown Seattle since November 2008 reside within these walls.

Per Realogics Sotheby's International Realty, the building saw 24 closings in 2012 and 16 in 2011, so demand doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon for these luxury condos. Dean Jones at Realogics expects the building to completely sell out by Spring 2013.

You may remember that Fifteen Twenty-One dominated our list of Top Ten Most Expensive Condo Sales of 2012 with the penthouse going for $4.25M and the skyhouse going for $3.6M.

Let that be a lesson to all of us. Puget Sound views > tough economy.
