This week we're heading going to the beach and checking out the five least expensive properties for sale in Alki. Boundaries are set by the realtors. We didn't include any property that's currently in contract. A friendly reminder: read the fine print, as some of these abodes have strings attached.
Address: 3018 62nd Ave SW. #2
Asking price: $339,950
Size: 1,704 sq. ft.
Rooms: 2-BR, 2 bath
The skinny: This spacious townhome sits a block and a half off the beach. According to the listing, "The Great Room (LR, DR & Kit)is really GREAT," which sounds great. The family room comes with its own entrance so everyone can come and go as they please on their way to and from the beach. The long outdoor patio provides enough space for BBQs and lounging as well.
Address: 2200 Alki Ave SW, APT 205
Asking price: $350,000
Size: 1,354 sq. ft.
Rooms: 2-BR, 2 bath
The skinny: The price came down almost $50,000 on January 4th for this second-floor unit. You're buying in to a nice building here, recently redone with a new roof, siding and windows. It also comes with a pool and patio. In the apartment, enjoy a gas fireplace, roomy master bedroom and a nice view of Puget Sound. You could do worse.
Address: 1718 Alki Ave SW, Apt 200
Asking price: $365,000
Size: 1,102 sq. ft.
Rooms: 2-BR, 2 bath
The skinny: The Halekulani is one of those super-skinny apartment complexes you drive by in Alki and wonder how good that view is. Very good, apparently. This place gets tons of sunlight and a full 180 degrees of Alki Beach, Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Both bedrooms come with their own bathrooms, which cuts down on embarrassing run-ins. The hardwood floors and stainless steel kitchen appliances don't hurt either.
Address: 1727 Harbor Ave, # N306
Asking price: $379,000
Size: 1,380 sq. ft.
Rooms: 2-BR, 2 bath
The skinny: Over on what would be the very northern edge of what's considered Alki, we'll find this Harbor Park spot. The building isn't too much to look at but the condo itself is pretty spacious to make up for it. Pretty close to the water taxi so a nice option for downtown commuters looking to live a little more beachy. Plus, you get a view of that city all day and night.
Address: 4248 Chilberg Ave SW, Apt 203
Asking price: $388,000
Size: 936 sq. ft.
Rooms: 2-BR, 2 bath
The skinny: First of all, living on Chilburg Avenue has to be hassle. Every time you tell people you live on Chilburg, they're like, "Stop being a bro, where do you really live?" But once you get used to it, you'll probably get used to the view from this condo. It's the smallest space on the list but the large, "entertainment-sized" deck makes up for it. Smart interior also makes this one of the more modern-looking condos on the list. Chilburg, indeed.
