Two blocks west of Amazon's current HQ in South Lake Union, plans for a building project between Westlake and 9th Ave and another one between Mercer and Republican would expand their footprint in the neighborhood immensely. Those plans were officially approved by the Seattle Department of Planning and Development on Monday.
Both buildings will be six stories high and contain approximately 377,000 square feet of space with 15,000 square feet dedicated to street-level retail. No shock here, Vulcan Real Estate is developing the buildings, which are expected to be completed in early 2015.
