Water Works

If you're heading over to University Village, you might want to bring some galoshes. A water main broke yesterday, sending a 12-foot geyser of water under the Northeast 45th Street Viaduct, flooding a section of the U-Village parking lot. The breakage left many homes in the area without running water as crews scrambled to fix the problem. The water is expected to go away on its own. [Seattle Times] Photo: KIRO
