Kimpton Hotels already has three hotels in Seattle, Hotel Alexis, Vintage Park and Hotel Monaco. This time next year, they'll have a fourth one in the mix as they announced Thursday plans to open a four-star, 97-room hotel in the Seattle City landmark Palladian Building (2000 Second Avenue).
Slated for a late 2014 opening, the historic building is located in the trendy West Edge neighborhood in downtown Seattle, just steps away from Pike Place Market and the famed Seattle waterfront as well as many favorite Seattle attractions. Designer Nicole Hollis will oversee the project. The Palladian began its life as the Calhoun Hotel back in 1910, so things are coming full circle for the historical downtown spot.
Kimpton's current Seattle hotels all made our Hotels Week lists for being pet-friendly and wine-friendly, so we can assume the new one will follow suit.
