Since the Sonics aren't returning and an NHL team doesn't look promising, support for the SoDo Arena seems to have waned. Now opponents of Chris Hansen's plans are bringing a new strategy to try and put the kibosh on them altogether. Sonics Without Subsidies (which includes some of the same folks behind the last lawsuit against the arena) say that if the arena is built, it will cost Seattle taxpayers $731M due to tax credits and subsidies.
