Seattle Home Values, Selling Trends Remain Stable In October

Via Redfin, it looks like Seattle home-selling trends remained steady in October. 32.2% of homes up for sale in the month went under contract within two weeks, which actually did better than some projections based on the government shutdown and uncertainly about the financial markets. That said, the average home did take slightly longer to sell than in September, with the median days on the market up to 20 days from 17.

Meanwhile, Zillow reported that October Seattle home values stayed relatively the same from September but are up 13.8% from a year ago. The median home value in Seattle is now $306K (National is $162K).
