From 1903 until just recently, the 2.5 acre lot at 10th and McGraw on Queen Anne Hill was home to The Seattle Children's Home, a mental-health treatment center for children. That 108K sqaure-foot lot was sold earlier this year to Toll Brothers, who has released their initial plans to replace the understated local landmark with approx. 61 townhomes. The plan has been met with pushback from neighbors who don't want to see a generic project remove the character from the location. They'll have a chance to voice their opinions at the design-review meeting on Dec. 18 in Room One of Queen Anne Community Center.
