The Curbed Cup, Curbed Seattle annual Neighborhood of the Year tournament, begins today. The deserving candidates will be presented in two match-ups per day through the week, with results reviewed on Friday. Polls are open for 24 hours, starting now!
Our second match-up of the day pits two Northeastern Seattle neighbors head-to-head.

In this corner…U-District. The Neighborhood UDub Built continues to grow and change even if the students never change. Plans for new housing units are springing up all over. The neighborhood is also becoming homebase for a lot of forward-thinking ideas, such as a bike hotel and new Seattle startups. There's a lot more to University District than just a bunch of purple sweatshirts.

In the other corner…Ravenna, where U-Districts grad students and professors call home. You'll find many of them on bikes as they travel to and from U-Village or the main campus. Unfortunately, it's seen a lot of longtime eateries say goodbye this year, but there's still plenty in and around town to make this neighborhood worthy of inclusion.
So, which neighborhood moves on to the Elite Eight and stays alive in the quest for The Curbed Cup?
