Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent for a set dollar amount in various Seattle neighborhoods. Is one man's studio another man's townhouse? Let's find out! Today's price: approximately $1,200/month in the condo-mecca of Ballard.
? Let's start at 2246 NW 63rd St where apartment C is available for $1,150/month. This 2-BR, 1-bath apartment is part of a triplex and looks to be the basement unit. You'll have to deal with the wonky ceilings but it seems as though some light gets in at least.
? Next we head over to 5711 17th Ave NW where a 2-BR, 1-bath, 1,000 square-foot apartment ready for $1,250/month. Inside are...empty, white rooms. Do what you like with them.
? One of the newer options in the nabe is the AVA Ballard building, which has apartments started at $1,185/month. According to their website, you're looking at one of their studio floorplans at this price. But if you're not looking for a big place and value amenities, they've got indoor and outdoor "chill spaces" with WiFi, a fitness center, rooftop deck with BBQs and a dog run.
? Finally, we head to 6209 15th Ave NW where No. 205 is available for $1,195/month. This 1-BR comes with refinished hardwood floors, a new kitchen and new bath also includes a bonus room, which you can use as you see fit. Nothing weird though...we know how you are.
