Last week, Seattle Goodwill's new Job Training and Education Center opened its doors on Rainier Ave S and S Dearborn St. The three-story, 49,600-square-foot facility offers classrooms, a Worksource drop-in center and a student lounge on the first floor with two levels above of instructor and administrative offices.
The building was set back from the road in order to preserve a Bartram Oak out front. And speaking of ways to keep things green, the building is expected to achieve LEED Silver through energy efficiency, daylighting, water conservation and stormwater retention and treatment.
