Washington Huskies football fans are eagerly awaiting the chance to watch the purple & gold this upcoming season in the new and improved Husky Stadium. Renovations, which include removal of the track, reconstruction of the lower bowl and brand new locker room facilities, appear to be coming along just fine.
While we wait, Vintage Seattle uncovered this discarded 1920 plan for Husky Stadium (then Associated Students Stadium) that would have called for two towers on the south end. Also kinda strange to see open fields surrounding the stadium, unlike today's roadways and parking lots.
