How Green Is Your Seattle Neighborhood's Commute?

The Seattle Times put together a fancy-schmancy interactive map today to showcase how each Seattle neighborhood commutes and how many of those commuters are doing it in green ways (public transit, walking, carpooling, working from home or cycling). In what is probably no surprise to anyone, the closer you are to downtown Seattle, the more likely it is that your commute is "green." With more public transit options and shorter commute times, it's easier to rely on those commutes over cars.

The greenest commutes? Downtown, First Hill & the International District. The least green commutes? Magnolia, Madison Park & Highland Park.

Go check out the map to see how your neighborhood stacks up and chime in below in the comments with your thoughts.
