In 1908, Rainier Brewery founder Andrew Hemrich commissioned his then-8,000 square-foot mansion in Capitol Hill, only to die two years later before he could truly appreciate it. Today, homeowners Gay Gilmore and Troy Hakala, with the help of famed architect Tom Kundig, have "melded new and old, kid-friendly and classic" to turn this now-10,000 square-foot manor into something a bit more modern.
