The Bellevue Collection is already the dominant commercial center of Bellevue, including Bellevue Square shopping mall, Bellevue Place, the Hyatt Regency and Lincoln Square. Imagine how all-encompassing it will be once Kemper Freeman's Kemper Development Co. finishes its proposed 2M square feet of retail, office, hotel, residential, dining and entertainment space that it values at $1.2 billion.
Kemper said it plans to add more than 375,000 square feet of new retail, dining and entertainment space; 700,000 square feet of office space; a 250-room luxury hotel and additional boutique hotel; approximately 500 residential units; and 3,700 parking spaces in two six-level underground parking garages. Kemper said construction is expected to begin next year and will be completed by fall 2016. When Bellevue Square opened in 1946, the population of the town was roughly 5,000. Today, with an ever-growing population of 125,000, its retail and office epicenter continues to expand with it.
