George Suyama has received the AIA/Seattle Medal of Honor and is a member of the American Institute of Architects' College of Fellows, so he's kinda a big deal. So is the 2-BR Japanese Farmhouse just south of the Arboretum he designed and which just hit the market for $988K. You won't find very many homes like this in Seattle, especially since it's tucked away in a quiet corner. Touches such as a genkan entrance & tatami room showcase Japanese minimalism while warm wooden finishes pull out a Contemporary Northwest style as well. A Japanese soaking tub and two courtyards add even more depth to an already deep abode.
