Palladian Apartments Could Become Hotel...Again

Via PSBJ, the owner of Belltown's nine-story Palladian Apartments at 2000 Second Avenue has submitted an application with the city to turn the building into a hotel. The building is currently home to 69 apartments and the street level is currently occupied by The Corner Bar.

If approved, it would bring the building back full circle. When it was constructed in 1910, it was known as The Calhoun Hotel. Noted architect William P. White designed the 152-room complex, which at the time was the tallest building north of Virginia St. The building was designated a Seattle City Landmark in 2011.
