Longtime Wallingford Building On 45th St. May Be Demolished

The Northeast Design Review Board will be holding a design review meeting on July 15 to discuss plans that would demolish the retail building at 2100 N. 45th St., formerly home of Tully's, and replace it with a one-story building containing 11,076 sq ft. of retail and accessory spaces. Plans also call for 25 parking spaces.

The Velmeir Companies, a developer that works with many chain stores and national companies, is listed as the applicant.

The current building, which was built in 1929, is the long-time home of Moon Temple Restaurant. With such a central location in Wallingford, this could be the beginning of big changes to the sleepy neighborhood.
