Historic 'Admiral's House' Sells To Global Seas For $2.7M

The Admiral's House on Pier 91 was once the home of the commanding admiral and his family while stationed at Sandpoint Naval Air Station in Seattle. Now a Seattle historic landmark, the three-story building was put on the market in December. According to Magnolia Voice, the historic house has sold.

Global Seas, managers of fishing and research vessels in Alaska and elsewhere, doing business as Oceanstar LLC, is the new owner of the "Admiral's House," confirmed company sources. Purchased for $2.7 million, reportedly $500,000 under the listing price, Global Seas is headed by company founder, President and CEO, Robert M. "Bob" Desautel, a resident of Seattle. According to Magnolia Voice, Global Seas plans to use the house as its new office.
