Happy Birthday to the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks Cavanaugh House, which turned 100 years-old this week. Once known as the Lockkeeper's House, it was built in 1913 for just shy of $8,000. The first completed structure of the Lake Washington Ship Canal still stands to welcome boats as they cross through the locks. [MyBallard]
