Longtime Seattle Times HQ Sold For $62.5M

The Seattle Times called the building at 1120 John St. home for 81 years before moving out in 2011. They've finally sold the longtime HQ & city landmark, plus a parking lot across the street, to Canadian real estate development company Onni for $62.5M. According to records, the value of the parking lot ($33.5M) was more than the building ($29M).

Per PSBJ, Onni is wasting no time and plans to build, what else, office, retail and residential projects on the site. They expect to begin renovating and building in the near future.
