Real estate developer Panattoni must have some pretty big plans for the land at 4401 E. Marginal Way S because they just paid a pretty penny to own the old state liquor distribution center located there.
The state's old liquor distribution center in South Seattle sold for $104 a square foot, one of the highest priced deals ever in King County, according to real estate data company CoStar. On Tuesday, state officials announced the price is $23.4 million.
The center, which includes 190K square feet of warehouse space and 33K square feet of office is situated on eleven acres near the Port of Seattle. Panattoni told PSBJ that they plan to "lop off the office portion of the building and add warehouse space."
