Born in Bolivia, José Montaño came to Seattle in 1947 and studied architecture at U-Dub under Lionel H. Pries. Some of his works include the Pacific National Bank building (NE 45th Street & University Way NE) and a remodel of the Magnolia Library. A 1957 4-BR in Magnolia designed by Montaño just hit the market at $540K. Vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, wood flooring & wood plank ceilings stand out here.
